Sam Horton does storyboard and illustration for film, TV, and animation. He has worked on movies such as Underwater (2020), Justice (2011), 12 Rounds (2009), etc.

 

What did you learn?

Think about what knowledge/experience was gained from the activity.  Consider thing such as (but not limited to):

Do you know more about the industry? Yes.

Does it help you think more about potential careers? Not really. If I were any good at drawing, I would probably be more interested in storyboarding and illustrating.

Do you know more about facilities or opportunities available to you? Yes.

Has it helped you meet other relevant people? Yes.

Has it helped you with your current projects? Yes.

Have you learnt new skills? Not really?

The people presenting were people who are a part of ITV's recruitment team, it is their job to hire people for ITV. 

 

What did you learn?


Think about what knowledge/experience was gained from the activity.  Consider thing such as (but not limited to):

Do you know more about the industry? I've learned that there are more jobs in the media industry than I originally thought. 

Does it help you think more about potential careers? Yes.

Do you know more about facilities or opportunities available to you? Yes.

Has it helped you meet other relevant people? Yes.

Has it helped you with your current projects? Kind of.

Have you learnt new skills? I don't know.

  Digital Profiles: A digital profile is the sum content about a person on the internet. Digital profiles are often shared on websites, containing personal or professional information about a person and their profession. Digital Profiles allow potential clients/employers to assess whether a person is qualified to work with them and whether said person offers what they want. A good example of a digital profile is AmandaRachLee.com . When you first enter the website, the first thing you see is a photograph of herself with her name and doodles next to her. This allows the viewer to identify who she is and what she looks like right off the bat. The horizontal menu above this has a few options for you to click on: home, about, videos, gallery, shop, faq, and contact. Having information right there and easy to access saves potential clients or employers a lot of time searching. A mock interview can help you learn how to answer difficult questions, develop new strategies, improve your communication skills, and so on. Before an interview, you should do research into the company you’re applying for- employers expect you to know things such as how big the company is, who their customers are, their ethos, etc. They want to see that you have a genuine interest in the job and what they do.
